Highlights From ISRAEL!!!

So I just got home from Jerusalem and let me tell you... IT WAS AMAZING!!! Anyone that wants to, and can, should go to the "holy land" I loved every moment of it and never once felt unsafe... The people were nice... the food was so good!!! and the different religions/cultures all jam packed into Jerusalem's city walls was simply phenomenal... This was an experience of a lifetime and Im so grateful to have shared it with my family... my grandpa is the best and I really do appreciate his generosity and big heart in allowing us this great opportunity!!! Life is best when seeing and experiencing the world:)

"HE IS NOT HERE FOR HE IS RISEN"

All the girl cousins... Its always fun to get together... from left to right... Lei (Kyle's wife), Chelsey, Me, Amy, Lacey, and Pam (Greg's wife)

Mine and Amy's super sexy Gladiator shoes that we got in the Arab market... I love them and was so excited when we found them:)

Me putting my prayer into the wailing wall... I had to do it... Now hopefully my prayer is answered:)

Dome of the Rock... Probably Jerusalem's most well known landmark... Its in the Muslim area of Old City and is really a beautiful building with the dome on top being made out of 24 caret gold and the mosaic tile on the walls was incredible!!!

Hezekiahs Tunnel... Probably the highlight of my trip... Imagine going through a tunnel only big enough for body's width, most of the time ducking cause it wasn't very tall, with water at least to your ankles (it was low) the entire time... Without a flashlight it was pitch black... literally couldn't see a centimeter in front of your face... It was so fun!!! Especially when we turned the lights out... Then it was really crazy!!! I loved it!!!

Pray For Peace... I LOVE JERUSALEM!!! It will always have a special place in my heart...

The Garden Tomb... Enough said... A moment totally indescribable...

This is me on the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee... Not what you thought it would look like??? Trust me... I thought we were in hawaii for a moment!!! oh and can you see tourist written all over me... name tag... headset around my waist so I could listen to the guide at all times, backpack... and of course the camera that I was always handing someone to help me document my journey....

The Palmer Family on the Mediterranean Sea... So beautiful that water and beach... WOW!!!

Bo and Myself on the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea....

This is me practicing being David and trying to hit Goliath... He wasn't anywhere around but I could get the stone far enough that at least I could hit him before he got close:) I hope I didn't hit anyone while practicing... I never saw any goose eggs so thats a good sign...

This is a picture with Omar... He does these amazing Olive wood carvings... Of course I had to have this one... and have to have a picture with him as well:)

This is me floating in the Dead Sea... You feel literally like a cork in water... it was one of the craziest things I have ever experienced...

Bo and myself floating in the Dead Sea... and I must point out the beautiful blue water!!! Who would have thought the Dead Sea was so beautiful

Sorry about the cleavage shot... but look at the salt on the rock... they Dead Sea is 27% salt and minerals... your skin felt like it was pure silk... and the taste... bitter as bitter could ever get...

This is from our nature hike... I had to show you that yes... Some of Israel is actually lush and beautiful...

This is me and Bo on the nature hike on the crazy branches of the tree... we went off the path and lost the group and then had to run back... a dead give away always when lost... is those headsets we had to wear... if you got to far behind... they went silent... so ya...

I hope you all enjoy a few of my pictures... I have a million more at home so your can come see them but I don't have enough room to put them all up on here:)

I'm so glad you're back and can share all of your photos with us! I want to go to Israel so badly and it's nice to know that you all had a safe trip. Haley went to the BYU Jerusalem Center way back when, and so did Andrea. I am so jealous (but in a good way :)lol)
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us on your blog!

btw: did you get to go to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher?! I'm dying to go even though the Catholics got it wrong! LOL (just kidding- I hope that didn't offend anyone).

Alli... The church of the Holy Sepulcher is totally creepy... not even joking... All their theories make you wonder how they can even believe that what they think is true... Personally... I didn't love that part... But yes... it was good to see that we aren't totally crazy like some others:)

Thanks for your honest opinion about the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. I've learned about it and taught about it so naturally I have to see it :)
My curiosity is going to kill me (or my pocketbook, which ever one comes first! LOL)

Jenny -

I am so excited that you got to go to Israel and fall in love with it like I did! I had no idea you guys were even going - I need to talk with you more often! It looked like you did all the greatest and best things to do! It has been 16 years since I had the experience of being there - I am sure a lot has changed!
