Baby Gwen has finally made it here :)
My brother Greg and his wife Pam welcomed their beautiful little girl on 2/6/12 at 1:06 p.m. she is a little thing weighing in at 6.9 lb and 19.5 in!! Im so excited that she is finally here!!! I have been waiting for Pam and Greg to have a baby for a really long time and Im so happy that they finally gave me a beautiful niece that I am beyond thrilled to have in the family :) Its amazing how fast you can fall in love!!! Im so excited I get to be your aunt!!! I love you so much Gwen!!

Life Happens...

Martina McBride says it perfectly "Cancer don't discriminate" It doesn't care if your a single mother, a CEO of a huge company, an actress, a king, a child or an adult. It can happen to anyone. I remember the first time cancer showed up in my life. I was 20 years old and found out my friend Ashley had cancer. I remember thinking it was impossible, she was only 21 years old!! She was too young. But like I found out the hard way your never too young. I lost my dear friend only but a few short years later and it was one of the hardest things I have ever watched. Years of fighting and many many prayers couldn't beat it and the cancer finally took her life. I remember her upbeat attitude and her beautiful outlook on life. I remember thinking I could never be that brave. Since then cancer has popped up here and there. Neighborhood friends, My parents friends, and acquaintances. Some have survived and moved on in life while others weren't able to beat it and have passed on from this life. Each time I couldn't help but think about how hard it would be and I couldn't even begin to imagine "what it must be like" to go through that as a family. But this last December I got a little taste of "what it might be like" when it hit a little too close to home. When my dad told me he had cancer I remember going totally cold and numb. I had never felt so empty. I will never forget that feeling. The cancer is called Hairy Cell Leukemia which is cancer of the blood. Luckily for him and our family it is the cancer you want to get if you have to get cancer. After researching it a bit my nerves were calmed a little. But its still never an easy thing to hear and go through. My dad was put on Chemo over Christmas. We were hopeful that the one treatment would work but it didn't. He had been put on the wrong dosage and for an entire week he only got a day dosage of the chemo in his system. So he just recently finished his second round which we are hoping will do the trick. But hoping is about all you can do. Hearing the word cancer in my family is something I didn't think I would ever have to deal with. We are really optimistic that the chemo will kill all the cancer and he will beat this. Don't take life for granted and don't let a day pass you by without being grateful for your health. Because our health is what gives us life and life is what gives us meaning :) I love you all!!!

There is something exciting about starting a new year. New goals, New Adventures, and a New Year to write about. I am most excited for this year because my favorite number is 12 and its finally 2012!!! So lets hope that things go great :) This year I already have my brother coming home from his mission in Peru and a new niece coming all in the same week!!! I have some fun trips to look forward to as well!! I'm really excited for 2012!!! It better treat me right :)

I love Christmas time. I love spending time with the family, eating lots of yummy traditional food and just the feeling you get that comes with Christmas. I loved having Christmas on a sunday this year. It made church even more special and really brought out the true meaning of Christmas.Im grateful for the service that comes with Christmas and the lives that can be blessed with service from others. Im so grateful for everything that I am blessed with. Im grateful for my family and the joy it brings to have them in my life. This is the last and final Christmas with a missionary and I can't tell you how happy I am that its over!!! Next year we will finally all be together as a family :) LOVE YOU BO!!!

For Christmas this year I got a hot pink KitchenAid!!! I was so stoked!!! I have been wanting a KitchenAid forever and the hot pink is right up my alley!!! I also go yummy perfume. Camera/memory card adaptors for iPad ski pass, coat, and great stocking stuffers.

I went to Seattle to see my cousin, her husband and their 2 kids. It was so nice to get to visit and play with Carly and see baby Tyler. I hate that they live so far away but Im so grateful that I was able to visit and spend time together. We had a lot of fun going to the aquarium and seeing Christmas lights and doing fun christmas stuff. We even went to Kirks work christmas party (microsoft) it was amazing!!! I had so much fun!!!

I love when a new Twilight movie comes out!!! This was the release of Breaking Dawn-part 1. We always hit up the midnight showing but this time we got tickets to an early showing (8:00 p.m.) it was so much fun to get to see it before it was released. I LOVED this movie!!! I think they did a really great job and they get better and better!! I can't wait for the final movie next year!!!

In November a group from my singles ward went to Arches National Park for a weekend get away. We went hiking and enjoyed yummy food and fun conversations around the campfire. Even though it was FREEZING camping in November we still managed to have a blast!!!

A big group of my family went to China for 10 days. We had so much fun!! We ate yummy food, saw amazing sites and enjoyed some awesome shows. High School Girlfriends

Oh how fast the years fly by...

Us five girls were inseparable in high school. We did everything together and had so much fun!!! Since then we have all moved on in life. All are married with children (except me) and we haven't all been together in years (probably at least 5 or 6) We all still stay in touch via blogs and Facebook and it was during a chat with Heather that we realized everyone happened to be in Salt Lake at the same time (Andrea in town from Cedar City and Tiffany home in between moving from Pittsburgh to California) so we found a date that worked for every one and we all met up for dinner. Its amazing how when your really good friends you can go years without seeing each other and realize that time and distance doesn't matter because that friendship is always there. We had so much to catch up on that we ended up going back to my place just to talk. We watched videos of us from the past and looked through pictures. It was so much fun to reminisce about the past and laugh about the things we used to do and the people we used to be. I'm so grateful to have such great friendships with each of these girls. Its so nice to get together and its as if the time never passed. Love you girls :)

Who doesn't love Moab. I sure do!!! Another amazingly beautiful part of Utah that we are so blessed to be so close to. This year we went down with the Beach family and enjoyed some beautiful hiking, Swimming in the pools and hot tubbing, yummy food and frozen yogurt and of course the highlight of the trip a Hummer tour on Slick Rock. It was so much fun. I have always wanted to go "jeeping" but I haven't. So this was great to get to experience it. I had a BLAST!!

The Palmers and the Beaches at Delicate Arche. We hiked this at sunset and let me tell you that is the best time to hike it. The colors on the arche as the sun sets is breath taking. Its just the most beautiful time of the day. Just make sure you take flashlights cause it gets dark on the hike down :)

So for those of you who don't know (which aren't many) Tanner is like my second brother. Him and my brother Bo have been inseparable since birth. Tanner and Bo both got called to serve in Peru on missions. Tanner was in the North Mission and Bo was in the Cusco Mission. Tanner was 6 months ahead of Bo so he came home in August. It was fun to get to see him again since it felt like a little bit of Bo was back home. Im so proud of Tanner and the person he is!!! Welcome home... We love you!!! Can't wait for Bo to finally get home :)

This year we went to Kimis for my moms birthday dinner. This place is SOOO yummy!!! Its up big cottonwood canyon at the base of Solitude ski resort. So not only do you have the beautiful view of the mountains and the cool mountain air but you get amazing food!!! I just love this little place and totally recommend everyone to try it once .

Lake Powell

Lake Powell is a trip I always look forward to. Yummy food, Family and Friends, Sun!!! Boating, Surfing and just enjoying the slow paced life for a week. I don't know what I would do without Lake Powell. It is just the most amazing place in this world!!! We LOVE going with the Smiths. They are such a blast!!!!

For the 24th of July we went to Jackson Lake in Wyoming. The lake is colder than I usually enjoy but it is the most beautiful scenery that I can get past the cold. Plus it gives you more insentive to ride the surf board as long as possible so you dont have to fall in the water :) We also spent the day and went to Yellowstone national park and had a blast!! We saw all different kinds of animals and got to enjoy the many wonderful areas of Yellowstone. I just love the great outdoors and really enjoyed my time here.

Seven Peaks of Salt Lake

This summer a few of us bought season passes to Seven Peaks Salt Lake (formerly known as raging waters). It was really cheap and we figured why not. We went many times and had a blast each time!!! I think this water park is really great and you can't beat the price!!! So much fun to have a Saturday activity to look forward to most of the summer... Here is one trip to the waterpark!!

Sun Valley

Over the 4th of July my family went to Sun Valley to bike, eat, shop, and enjoy life. I love Sun Valley... Its just a fun little town with so much to do. It was so nice to get out of town and enjoy a quick weekend in beautiful Sun Valley with the fresh air and mountains!!! Im so grateful to have places this close to home to visit!!

I love Disney World and I especially loved this trip because everything was perfectly planned out for me :) The food was amazing and the company was a blast!!!! I was lucky enough to go with Allison, Cameron, Vickie and Vallie. We all had so much fun and really enjoyed forgetting my age for a week :) There isn't lots of room to post tons of pictures so just check my facebook for more!!! LOVE YOU DISNEY WORLD!!!!

The BIG 27!!!

Yes... its true... I turned 27 on May 19th... ahhhhh!!! Even though I get major anxiety the night before my birthday I have finally come to terms with the fact that indeed I am a year older, and I'm ok with that, for now :)

For my Birthday I got a day with my niece :) (and others)
My dad got me this balloon that he put at my desk at work so that everyone would know it was my "special" day.

For lunch Amy and my mom and Brinsley took me out to lunch at Great Harvest...YUMMM!!! We had yummy sandwich's and chips and Key Lime soda and Cookies and a cupcake!!! Lets just say it was great!! My mom gave me the best gift!!! She found red with white polka dot fabric and she is making me a Minnie Mouse skirt for my upcoming trip to Disney World!!! Im super stoked about it :)

For Dinner Me, my Parents and Brinsley went to India Fusion (which is the best Indian food)

MMMM!!! Brinsley kept dipping her naan in the sauce even though it was way too hot for her and she made a face and spit it out everytime... ha ha!! But it was not too hot for me!!! I loved it!!!

Then after we went to Leatherbys and got a sundae. Brinsley does not like Ice Cream... but she likes playing with it.

and she thought I needed help eating it too.... Ha ha!!! Love that girl:)

Overall my Birthday was great and memorable... Im glad for a great family who made sure to make it special. Especially to my sister for letting me get time with Brinsley basically all day. I even got to cuddle with her and put her to bed when it was all over :)

George Strait Concert!!!

If you know me, you would know that George Strait is my most favorite artist of all time. I love him, I love all of his songs, I love Pure Country and I just love the person he is. I have been to Vegas to see him, Cheyenne,WY and now finally in SLC!!! I was super pumped to hear he was coming in concert especially since he was joined by REBA!!! The day tickets went on sale I held my breath hoping for something great and I got 12th row on the floor!!! Seriously??? How lucky for me :) but it wasn't until the night of the concert that I realized how great my seats were. not only were we on an isle but we were right on one of the corners where he performed... so what does that mean?? I made a beeline for the stage every time he came around... so front row!!! George was only five feet away and I was beyond filled with excitement!!! I got to watch him sing my favorite song "run" and I was singing right along... He even looked at me and sang parts of the song to me (this is the honest truth) and at the end of the song he gave me a smile!! I was freaking out and so was my cousin cause she watched it happen!!! Then when George sang "How Bout Them Cowgirls" I was totally singing and dancing away and when he sang the line how bout them cowgirls he pointed right at me... So lets just say that George Strait knows that I exist... ha ha!!! Anyway... after a night of amazing wonderful songs sung by opening act LeAnn Womack and of course the amazing Reba and the BEST GEORGE STRAIT!!! the night ended on the highest note possible; As he was making his rounds before he left he grabbed my hand!!! I couldn't have had a better concert or a better night in my whole entire life!!! GEORGE STRAIT YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!

1st book signing

Yesterday I went to my first book signing and it was with an author I LOVE!!! It was so much fun to get some insight into the author and where her ideas for her books came from. I just loved it!!! She is so adorable and had such a great personality. The author is Carrie Ryan who writes The Forest of Hand and Teeth, The Dead Tossed-Waves and The Dark and Hollow Places. Even though I did like all the books, The Dead-Tossed Waves was my most favorite book!!! I think its a must read!! But you do have to read all the books to really appreciate the story. The books are about the acopolyse of zombies and each book is told from a different persons point of view but they are all intertwined, so good!!!

After we were able to get our books signed and I even asked for a picture with her because she is awesome :)

I also had her sign my nook... cause I read books on it!!! and James Dashner of the mazerunner trilogy was also there (he live in Utah, didn't know that) and I had him sign my nook too (too bad its smearing). I haven't read the mazerunner books yet and I felt stupid telling him that but my friend is dropping off the books so that when I see him again I will have them read... ha ha!!

My Love of reading is continually growing. I never thought that I would turn into a book worm but I totally have. After meeting some amazing authors reading intrigues me even more. I look forward to many more book signings in the future!!!!

Palm Springs...

This last week I went to Palm Springs with my cousins Chelsey and Lacey to visit my grandparents. Its not like me to not take pictures but for some reason this trip I didn't take pictures. I mostly just enjoyed the break in life. All I did was lay out by the pool in the beautiful 80 degree weather. I didn't have a worry in the world... Every night I would go out to dinner with the grandparents to yummy fabulous places!!! I went to the new Apple store on El Paseo 3 times!!! and even spent a morning window shopping there :) I ate at yummy Panera Bread (which just opened there) went on a golf cart ride... Got some fresh Lemons (instead of Grapefruit) and enjoyed the company of my grandparents and cousins. Life was great and Im sad to be home :( Palm Springs in probably my most favorite place in the world!!!!!!!

Valentines...

So I have to share my Singles Ward "Valentine" experience. My singles ward currently is meeting with another singles ward. We have our own sacrament and relief society/elders quorum meetings and we then meet all together for sunday school. It is different and Im not sure how I feel about it but at least the other ward has good looking men which makes things more bearable :) anyway... this last sunday was the day before Valentines Day. We went about our regular sunday and when us girls got released from relief society we went out in the hall to see the men from the other ward standing in the foyer with roses. They had gotten roses for all the girls in the ward. We all stood there in shock and watched as each girl walked out excited and we just sat ther staring. Ha ha... I literally felt like I was in a movie. All I could think about was "why don't the men in our ward do thoughtful things" After watching this for a few minutes we finally turned away and walked out. I was a little bummed but oh well... I told my mom the story which she thought was pretty funny. Then on Valentines day she brought my cute niece into my work with a dozen roses :) and a cute valentine that Brinsley threw on the floor when my mom told her to hand it to me... ha ha!! That was much better than any single rose from a guy :) Thanks mom... Love you!!!

Then the day after Valentines Day my dad generously took us out to dinner an La Caille!!! It was super super yummy!!! Thanks dad... Best Valentines day ever!!!

Pittsburgh to visit Tiffany and the Twins!!!

Last week I was lucky enough to go to Pittsburgh for a whole week to visit Tiffany and the babies... We had so much fun hanging out, catching up, doing embarrassing things, playing with the babies, shopping, movies and lots of yummy food!!! Here are some things we did...

Panera Bread!!! I heard this place was good but really IT WAS AMAZING!!! We ate there multiple times and I even have to get bagels to take home... Probably one of my most favorite places... Yummy... Im craving it bad!!!!

Hallie got her ears pierced... I don't know who was more traumatized Tiffany or Hallie... ha ha... but she sure looks cute!!!

We went to the Phipps Conservatory and it was so cool!!! I loved all the different rooms with flowers and Bonsai trees and Tiffanys favorite Orchids. It was so much fun and smelled yummy!!! It made me feel like it was summer again... almost :)

I have always wanted to go to Dave and Busters... I have seen a million commercials for it and of course Utah doesn't have one so I had to experience it... and lets just say I had a blast!!! We played some super fun games. Skeeball, Deal or No Deal, Horse racing, car racing and a trivia game. We also ate some yummy snack food and won enough coupons for nerd ropes!!! ha ha... I will not tell you how many games we played to get them :)

The Nook

After many weeks of wanting an e-reader and really researching them out. My debate between a Nook and a Kindle was finally settled with a Nook. I was so excited to get it and I couldn't wait to start downloading books and reading on it. I have become a huge reader in the last year and it just made sense to get one. I love that I have millions of books at the tip of my fingers. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I can't wait to spend many vacations with this one :)

Grown up Christmas

You can tell you are all grown up when you get a vacuum for Christmas and it couldn't get any better than that!!!!! I got a purple Dyson vacuum and I love it more than anything else!!! Not only is it so pretty but its amazing to vacuum with and all the dirt and crap it picks up... OH MY GOODNESS!!! Its actually entertainment for me to empty the canaster and see what it picked up!!! If you don't own a Dyson I would start saving for one!!! I also got other great stuff like sewing sissors, sewing needles, a purple North Face vest, socks, treats, GLEE season 1, a cd from Ryan, shampoo and conditioner and a costco gift card. Christmas was a blast and I enjoyed everything I got!!! Thanks Mom and Dad and Siblings!!! Oh and the best part of Christmas was that we got to talk to BO!!!!!!!! I only got 5 minutes but it was a great 5 minutes!!!

Every year we take a big family trip with the Palmer side. It is such a blast because we all get along so well... This year was to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico... The weather was perfect... the water was refreshing and the all inclusive drinks and food weren't good for me :) ha ha!! But I lived it up and enjoyed every moment of it. While there we did a zip line tour where there were 8 different zip lines one being as long as 1/2 mile long!!! It was amazing... We also took a boat ride over to Los Archos, the famous arch and saw sea lions, went snorkling and played in the waves. This trip was beyond a blast and the best way to spend Thanksgiving!!!!

Mediterranean Cruise

Last week I went on a Mediterranean Cruise with my cousins. It was just us four girls and we had a blast!!! We started in Barcelona and spent a few days touring there first, then we got on our cruise ship and had ports in Napples, Italy; Rome, Italy; Florence, Italy; Villefranche, France; and Toulon, France. It was such a perfect time to go... The weather was great except for one day and we got to see everything we wanted to see!!! I love Europe so much :)

Me and My girlfriends took a much needed vacation in Laguna Beach California!!! With everyone having jobs, families, homes, etc. its hard to find time to all get together. What a great way for us to all spend some time together and take a break from our lives back home. While on vacation... We went to the beach, got tumbled in the waves, went on a sea creature exploration, spent a lot of time in the hot tub, had amazing yummy food, did a little singing with a band, went to a surf competition (hello Kelly Slater!!!) drove around in our awesome mini van, took in the beautiful coast, visited PinkBerry!! and spent some much needed quality time together. I love my friends and Im so happy that we got a break together and all enjoyed it!!!!! This vacation was such a blast!!! I love you Jenna, Alicia, Kristi, Abbie and Adri!!!

Colter Bay

For the 24th of July this year we went to Colter Bay which is in Wyoming just past Jackson Hole... We stayed in a cute little cabin, went boating on Jackson Lake and took a boat across Jenny lake to hike up to a waterfall...(yes, there is a lake named after me) We ate yummy food and played "hot dice" which I won by throwing all ones the last and final round... beat that!!! ha ha... I was so excited I sucked my buttermint into my lungs and literally thought I was going to die... But I didn't and it made for a scary situation for me but a funny moment now... Jackson Lake it probably one of the prettiest places I have ever been... The water was crazy cold but I did suck it up and get in to surf... Thanks dad for the fun trip!!!

Lava Hot Springs was our stop on the way home from Colter Bay... This is one of my favorite places!!! Running the river is SUCH A BLAST!!!! I could do it all day long :) Since we had little Brinsley we had to take turns running the river while she waited patiently... but it was worth it!!!

Backstreets Back Alright!!!
I was so lucky to get to go see the Backstreet Boys this week in concert!!! And what an awesome concert it was!!! It brought me back to my teenage years and even though the love and obsession is now much milder for me than it was back than, it was still nice to remember loving something so much it drove me wild :) ha ha!!! It was also awesome to get really close seats!!!! I could actually see them and their faces... When I was younger I remember the concerts selling out so fast that the only seats I could get were the ones on the very top row where binoculars didn't even help... So all in all the concert was such a fun night with many new memories :) Thanks Pam for inviting me...

We went to St George over memorial weekend and it was a blast!!! We stayed in the Heinz house (thank you) and we took the boat with us... It was so much fun to be out on the lake and in the sun... the water was freezing and I only bared it once to go surfing which was a blast!!! Brinsley had fun to... her first time on a boat!!! (can you tell she is my best friend?!?!) anyway... we also rode bikes to dinner at pancho and leftys... Brinsley loved following behind in the chariot while Amy and Kevin pulled it with the tandem... We also we to red cliffs and went hiking and played in the water!!! We had such a fun weekend... thanks mom and dad!!!

Last weekend I went to Moab with my cousins Lesley and Allison and their singles ward (still single)... We had so much fun hiking delicate arch, landscape arch, driving arches national park, river rafting, going to the yummy moab diner and hanging out in the campground. We had so much fun!!! The weather was perfect except the crazy wind... I thought a tornado was blowing in at night but other than that it was a BLAST!!!! Thanks Lesley and Allison for inviting me :)

My 26th Birthday...

I had such a great birthday today!!!! First off I had a letter from Bo that I couldn't open til my birthday... so of course I waited up til midnight so that I could hear from him first (plus I really couldn't wait another day) I love my little Peruvian :) When I arrived to work in the morning I had balloons from my parents and a cute card!!! plus my dad got me a doughnut from Johnstons (which is a real treat, SO GOOD) then my partner in crime at work Traci got me a cute make-up case, chapstick and sugar babies and made me my favorite KEY LIME PIE!!! Then I went to Iceburg, because they give you a free shake on your birthday (I didn't eat the whole thing, Im saving it for later... sugared out). For dinner my whole family met up at Red Robin and I had the garden burger!!! My fav!!! I got to see my cute little Brinsley :) she thinks she is old enough to eat ice cream... but she didn't get to... I love that girl!!! Oh and Brinsleys mommy Amy gave me the cutest Twilight shirt ever... TEAM JACOB!!! ha ha. After dinner me, Amy and my parents went and saw Alegria, the Cirque du Soleil show that is in town... IT WAS AMAZING!!! I loved every moment of it... SUCH AN AWESOME BIRTHDAY!!! Thanks mom and dad for everything, especially the show tickets and my adorable present, cowgirl charms to add to my necklace... what a great way to start off my 26th year :) LOVE YOU!!!

Pretty much Vegas is one of my most favorite places in the world... Its such a fun little get away... This last weekend Jenna, Alicia and Myself decided it was time to get away and Vegas was calling us... We had so much fun walking the strip, going to the Bellagio flower gardens, going out dancing, laying by the pool, hanging out with friends who live in Vegas and pretty much had fun being in Vegas!!!! Babysitting Brinsley

I was lucky enough to get to babysit Brinsley (who am I kidding... I have to beg Kevin and Amy to go out and leave her with me) So its actually more like baby stealing :) So Saturday night Amy and Kevin brought her over to my house for a few hours while they went to dinner... Me and Brinsley had so much fun!!!! First she fed herself... She fought over control of the bottle and I gave in... and then laughed as I watched her be a big girl (4 months old)... Then we played a few games and I got her to giggle!!! (which is my favorite)... then we had a photo shoot and she started giving me kisses... and I gave her some kisses... and then we watched the birds... she got tired... fell asleep... and we cuddled until Kevin and Amy got home!!! I love every second of being an aunt especially since its Brinsley!!!! We had so much fun... I love you BRINSLEY!!!

So im a little behind... but last weekend me and my mom flew out to Seattle to visit Margaret and Kirk and to finally meet baby Carly. She is the cutest little thing with SO MUCH HAIR!!!! I couldn't get over it. Margaret and Kirks house is adorable and we had so much fun just chilling and catching up and playing with Carly. We did get to see a little bit of Seattle like Pikes Market and Snoqualmie Falls... We at at yummy restaurants and Meg and Kirk made a delicious sunday dinner... We had so much fun and we were so sad to have to leave and come home... Thanks Meg and Kirk for all your hospitality!!!! We loved EVERYTHING!!!!

I made Carly a Tutu and we had a major photo shoot... until this picture when My mom got a little excited and scared Carly!!!! It was so funny and sad at the same time cause she was screaming... an extremely terrified scream!!!! ha ha... But at least the pictures are adorable :)

Congrats AMY and KEVIN!!!!

My niece finally decided to join the family!!!! She came yesterday at 6:27 p.m. weighing in at 6 lbs 6 oz and 19 1/2 inches long... She is so tiny and adorable!!!! Amy was in labor for a little over 12 hours and had already forgotten all the work it took to get the little one out... Amy is doing great and Kevin couldn't be happier... This is a really proud moment in the Palmer clan... We all love her so much!!!!

India and Nepal!!!

India was an experience unlike anything I have ever done and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! India took a piece of my heart and I miss being there SOOO much!!! I want to go back right now!!!! We also we to Nepal which was fun!!! The Himalayas were gigantic!!! It was breathtaking when we finally got to see them!!! Im so grateful to be able to go to India... I love traveling and hope to continue to do it as much as I possibly can!!!

We visited Temples and had to follow there customs, of course by making the "visitors" wear bright orange it helped us stand out more than we already did :)

We had so much fun on the Rickshaws... They could go anywhere and did go anywhere... sometimes it was a little scary...

The train station was something else... people got on and off the train there... some people slept there... and some people lived there... pretty much people lived wherever...

I thought the train was a fun experience... a little dirty and the toilet was horrible... I mean what do you expect... Its no "luxury" train... that was part of the fun!!

Udaipur was gorgeous... its the venice of India, The palaces were built on lakes... AMAZING!!!

It was fun seeing all the gorgeous buildings!!! They were so old but still looked really amazing!!!

Riding elephants was a blast!!! It was not a smooth ride though... It was really bumpy!!!

It was so much fun having all the girls there!!! Grandma even rode the elephant!!

Monkeys were everywhere!!! It was crazy... you would be walking around and suddenly one would run past you... It never got old seeing them... Our tour guides would just laugh at us cause we would get so excited!!!

The Taj Mahal was spectacular!!! I have high expectations of my future husband one day... he better building something better than this to prove his love to me :)

Seeing Mount Everest was such a huge moment for me... I have loved Mount Everest since I was little and seeing it was so unreal to me... Seeing it made the dream of hiking it come alive again!!! So I guess I better start training and saving up!!!

Sending my prayers up to the heaven... Who knew praying was so easy... You just spin a wheel... I would pray more if it was that easy!!!

Im so grateful for my "easy" life and Im so grateful for my mom, sister (pregnant!!!), grandma, aunt and cousins that joined me on a trip I had been planning for months and dreaming of for years!!! Thanks girls... I had a blast!!!

Today was a really sad day in my life... My rabbit Lilie who I love more than anything else in the world went to bunny heaven today... I knew this day was coming since she hadn't been eating much lately and had a belly ache... but preparing myself for what I knew was coming didn't help either... She still had her fun personality and was running around every chance she got... But when I woke up this morning I knew the battle was ending... I held her one last time and said my goodbyes and I just pet her so she would stay calm through all the death stuff that happens (watching a pet die is HORRIBLE!!! Steer clear of it if possible!!!) and when she finally did pass on I lost it... Literally... Losing a pet is horrible... Its a huge loss in your heart... I have had Lilie since she was a baby and she has kept me company in my little apartment for the last five years... I will miss her SOOOOOO much!!! At least with the knowledge of the end coming I spent a lot of extra time playing with her and petting her and giving her lots and lots of kisses... I love you Lilie!!! All the other bunnies better be good to you!!!

Cheyenne Frontier Days...

Yes I went to Frontier Days... again... My yearly summer ritual which I love and don't know if I can live without... This year was extra special because the one and only George Strait was there!!! Yes, I know he was in Utah too but I bought tickets to him in Cheyenne first... ha ha... Of course he was amazing and only cemented my undying love for him even more... We also went to a rodeo, horse back riding, sawyer brown concert (which was awesome) and 3 doors down concert... We also we dancing... I country danced in my boots and was spinning around the dance floor... which was actually fun even though I hate admitting it... (I don't normally enjoy getting thrown and spun around)... It was an awesome weekend and I can't wait for next summer!!! I LOVE CHEYENNE!!!

Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas...

So my trip was AMAZING!!! The atlantis hotel was so much fun!!! I could live there :) It was so much fun spending time with the family and playing in the sun all day... The water park was so much fun!! I spent all day riding the waterslides and running the current (aka: not a lazy river but sorta) I never got bored of it... One day we went swimming with the dolphins which was a blast... We did the foot push which was such a cool experience... Overall the trip was a 10 and I really hope to go back one day!!!

Taylor Swifts concert was amazing!!! Even though I was so bummed Kellie Pickler was sick and didn't perform I was super happy that Taylor did so good... I loved her show... It was very entertaining and very clever... Taylor even walked through the crowd and hugged people... I love that she is still down to earth and that she has remained very level headed despite all of her fame... I hope only the best for her and her career... I know she will go really far... Gloriana opened and they did pretty good!!! Jenna went with me and Im going to have to wait for her pictures cause she took the pictures of me and her :) Thanks for going with me Jenna!!! Oh I forgot... Taylor walked down the aisle by us so she was literally a foot away from me!!! So thats why there is a random picture of her head... Thats how close she was... and yes she is that adorably cute in real life also :)

New York City

New York was a blast!!! but how could New York not be awesome... We ate some yummy food, went to a couple broadway shows, went to many sights, and did a lot of the bus tours... ha ha!!! The weather was beautiful and I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!!!
Me and Alicia on the Regis and Kelly show set... We made it on the show and I was really excited to see how everything was filmed...

Then after the show I was lucky enough to get Kelly to pose for a picture with me...

Then we ate at Pret A Manger which is SO YUMMY!!! its one of my most favorite little healthy food stops with amazing sandwiches, soups and wraps... Mmmm!!!

Then it was off to see Shrek The Musical which was adorable... I loved it so much... It was funny, had awesome costumes, props and singing and it was just a perfect show!!!

Times Square was my favorite place to go to... Night or Day, anytime... I LOVED IT!!!

Who goes to New York and doesn't take a picture with bull... I always do and really still don't understand why :)

We went on top of the Empire State Building at night and it was such a gorgeous view... I loved it at night!!! wow...

Statue of Liberty... The New York Symbol... Always fun to see... First time I went on the island for a better view and Im really glad we did... I loved it!!!

The skyline of New York is just beautiful... Huge buildings all crammed together in one little area may not sound beautiful but it really is!!!!

Central Park is one of the most gorgeous places on earth... We had so much fun walking around and dancing... It was relaxing and a great way to end the trip...

Tyson from Survivor was on the flight home from New York with us... When I saw him my first thought was "please tell me he wasn't kicked off this week" (I hadn't seen it yet) but after texting my family I found out he was... So I asked for a picture and spent the next twenty or so minutes talking survivor with him... It was a blast and he really is such and awesome guy!!! Im super sad he isn't on the show anymore since he was my favorite but had he not been kicked off last week I wouldn't have gotten to meet him... So Im glad he went we he went :) selfish, I know...

Britney Spears was AMAZING!!! She put on such an awesome show last night!!! I was so happy to see Britney do her thing and totally rock the stage... Her show was a concert combined with a circus so of course it was the best show ever!!! Thanks Alicia and Jenna for being my concert partners!!!! We had so much fun!!!

Oh how I love Palm Springs... The smell, the colors, the relaxation!!! This was yet another fabulous trip!!! We swam, relaxed in the sun, tried golfing, well actually just the driving range (Im terrible), ate food, including in-n-out burger a few times, and even hit up the street fair (which I LOVE!!!!) We had so much fun and enjoyed hanging out with grandma and grandpa, bo, amy and kevin!!!

Yes I have an obsession with Twilight (bad) and Im the first one to admit it... So of course I had to go to the walmart rumored to have one of the cast members there... Even though I was overly sad it wasn't Rob Pattinson I was still really happy when I saw Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria) because I think she did a fantastic job being Victoria and she is absolutly gorgeous... I didn't stand in the mile long line for an autograph but I was super excited to get a few glimpses of her... She was only going to sign for an hour but after two hours she was still going strong... It was really fun to see her with her fans and she was more then willing to sign until her arm went dead... which gives me a lot of respect for her cause if it weren't for fans these people wouldn't be celebrities!!! I was so excited to get the movie and even more excited to watch it the second I got home!!!

Jenna tagged me so here I go...

1. I have a huge fear of open doors... I can't sleep if a door is open... I can't go out of town if I know I left a door open (to the bathroom, closet, bedroom, laundry room, etc...) Its really weird and I have never really figured out where it came from, probably growing up with monsters in my closet... who knows... my mom thinks I need to go on medication because it freaks her out!!! Ha ha... but im fine... really... I just have to do the rituals...

2. I have an obsession with jeans (probably not a surprise to many) I own SOOOO many pair and I always buy more... I can never have enough!!! Im sure I freak people out cause I stare at everyones jeans and how they fit and I imagine how they would look on me and if I have to have them and find them and buy them... and I love to go into stores just to look at them... I have gotten better though... I can walk out of a store now... I just can't try them on or else out comes the credit card:)

3. I love make-up (MAC) I love looking at the different way people do their make-up... Its amazing how the perfect smokey eye can transform someone... Thats the first thing I look at in magazine ads... If I were good at make-up I would love to do it professionally... But for now... I just practice on myself:)

4. I talk to myself all the time... I am the best storyteller to myself that sometimes I convince myself its real... I have had some of the coolest things happen to me in my head... Maybe one day these imaginations will bring me success... but for now its my little escape from the real world:)

5. My dream pet would be a Tiger... I know those aren't normal everyday pets but once I saw in a magazine that there was a guy that owned three Tigers as his pets and they all lived in the house with him... That would be awesome!!! As long as you knew you wouldn't ever become the next meal!!!

6. I LOVE dark chocolate!!! The darker the better:) When I was little I used to sneek the cooking chocolate bars because I loved the bitterness of them:) Now I just try to find the Chocolate with the highest percentage of Cocoa in them... Mmmm. Im craving chocolate just talking about it!!!

7. Last but not least... I collect soda can tops... I have since seventh grade... I find them in every pair of jeans and always in my purse... It started from a fundraiser in Junior High where the class that collected the most pop tops won a pizza party... The point of the pop tops was each one collected was a penny donation towards something like cancer or primary children's Im not totally sure and I don't think it was losing that started this OCD but the fact that I only had but a few pop tops to donate... So I started collecting from anywhere and everywhere I saw them hoping that one day they would do it again... but the fundraiser never happened again while I was in school and here 12 years later and I still collect them (I have been known to get them out of trash cans, its that bad)... I have recently found co-workers kids, and cousins whose school every once in awhile does the fundraiser and let me tell you i get so excited and when I give them my stash... they just about die... Im not talking about fifty or so... Its in the thousands that I have had... I have my whole family collecting them now too!!! Im just grateful I have someone to finally donate them to... But I think the obsession is long engraved in me and I will never stop collecting!!! So if you ever need pop tops let me know... I have many to share:)

Midnight showing of Twilight!!!

Me, Lesley, Allison and Haley all went together to the midnight showing of Twilight at the gateway... We had so much fun with all the other screaming girls... Ha Ha... I was so excited to finally see the movie and get the suspense out of my system (too bad I don't have it to look forward to anymore) I personally LOVED the movie... I had to remember it was the movie and not the book. So I really appreciated it as the movie!! I think I want to go see it again RIGHT NOW:) or at least once more this weekend:) I hope everyone enjoyed/enjoys it!!!

So tonight was the Carrie Underwood concert and I went with my cousins, Lacey, Lei and Chelsey... We had so much fun and Carrie was amazing!!!! Little big town wasn't too shabby either... I also got a picture with Shotgun Jackson... he is my favorite K-Bull 93 deejay:) I know, Im a geek but I LOVE K-BULL!!!!

1.
This is my most favorite thing I own... Its my Zebra (Ziggy) and she looks after the place!!! I think its the coolest painting ever!!!

My COUCH!!! I have wanted a fire engine red sectional couch since forever!!! When I found the perfect one (cause I was so so so so so picky about the color of red it had to be) I bought it!!! No regrets... I love it!!!

3.
This is a saying I used to say to all my friends before saying goodbye... So I put it above my door as a constant reminder everytime I leave:)

This is the picture of my entertainment center which is so SWEET!!! It goes so perfect in my living room and my mom did a really good job with helping me collect things to go in/on the entertainment center!!! I love all the little knick knacks in it:)

My Buddha buddy... I obsessed over the perfect buddha to bring zen into the apartment... when I found this it was love at first sight!!! He has yet to fail me...

I love this bathroom... I love the colors of it even though its my roommates bathroom me and my mom decorated it... I would show you more of it... but this is the cutest part... so thats what you get:)

Twilight Cast...

So I didn't get any pictures but I just have to brag... This weekend I went to vegas with my friends and we went to the Twilight movie premiere party at the Prive club in Planet Hollywood... I was so excited cause the cast of Twilight was going to be there... We hung out for a bit wondering why they weren't there yet... I decided we needed to walk around just in case they were in a different area of the club... just as I was walking down the stairs into a hallway I heard a ton of screaming and noticed all the Twilight boys coming towards me... I got all excited but didn't want to look like the crazy freaky fan that exists in me so instead I just said "whats up guys" They all said hi and then I put my hands up and the last two high fived me (I know one was the Emmett character for sure and I think the other one was Jasper)... They then turned and went into a private room and I was left in a giggling frenzy!!! They said hi to me and two of them touched me!!! BEST NIGHT EVER!!! I never saw the girls but who needs to see the girls when I got to see all the Hotties!!! I just wished I got pictures... At least the image is in my head forever!!!

I know I have been blogging about the Jazz lately but its their season and I Love them now:) but last night I convinced Lacey to go to yet another game... but mostly because this time Kyle Korver was doing his coat drive... He collects coats and then donates them to homeless shelters here in Salt Lake so thats pretty cool... You had to bring a new childrens coat with the tags still on and then you could go to a special autograph signing with him... since its a win win situation for everyone and we really wanted Kyles autograph we brought our coats to the game:) He is such a good guy and I have a ton of respect for him and the things he does for Utah in his extra time...

Haunted House!!!

So last night me, Jenna and Lisa we to Nightmare on 13th!!! (those of you who bailed missed out) Why were standing in line I noticed a lot of the Jazz players in line for the Haunted House... Thank goodness Jenna always has a camera and that Lisa was so nice to take the pictures... cause when I saw Boozer and Korver there... I couldn't resist!!! They were in front of us in the first part of the haunted house and then somehow we kinda got stuck in the middle of their group while in the "extra" rooms... We had so much fun at the Haunted House... Jenna and Lisa were SOOO much fun!! We laughed so hard and the Jazz players made the whole experience that much better!!!

For those of you who didn't know... Bo was an extra in Highschool Musical 3... This is part of the musica video he did with Ashley Tisdale called "I Want It All" If you watch it all the way through you can see Bo to the right of Lucas Gabriel and Ashley Tisdale when they are holding the "world" He is in a blue shirt and is taking a photo of them... I am so excited to see the movie and I especially can't wait to see it this weekend!!! So everyone needs to keep an eye out for Bo when your watching the movie!!! GO BO:)

Buckingham Palace... No the queen wasn't there (her flag wasn't flying) but yes we did watch the changing of the guards (of course)

I loved all the small cars... I took at least thirty pictures of different brands of little cars... I got obsessed

When someone says there are thousands of bikes here they aren't lying... I have never seen so many bikes... This was a "bike parking lot" that was three levels high and full on both sides and all the levels... It was crazy!!!

yes we did check out the RED LIGHT DISTRICT... but we only looked... I can't believe that stuff really exists... I couldn't take pictures of the actual red light district but these little red lights dotted the area... I thought it was kinda cute:)y

This is the Berlin wall... I loved everything about Berlin and learning about their history... It was so interesting...

This was on the main bridge... Prague was way cool and all the buildings were medieval looking... I loved it!!!

We got to go to the Neuschwanstein Castle which was amazing!! The Disneyland castle was built after this castle... I can see the resenblance a little... But this castle was gorgeous... I loved it!!

The Colosseum was amazing!!! I loved all the Roman architecture because I just love the Romans!!! Rome was just amazing... We hit up the vatican city here too... that was pretty cool...

Seeing Michelangelo's "David" was the highlight but seeing Florence was great too... It was beautiful!!!

Stonehenge was awesome!!! It was so peaceful and amazing!!! Its so indescribable and I love that its a mystery... It just makes it that much more better... You can make your own theories about it... I think God did it so that people would have to think and wonder but never know... :)

Movie News Flash!

So, many of you have heard that the release of the sixth Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, has been moved from this Thanksgiving to next summer. First and foremost, please know that this schedule change has absolutely nothing to do with Twilight, me, or Summit Films (so enough with the imdb death wishes, okay?). This is Warner Bros. decision, and it was not motivated by anything Twilight-related.

Now for the good news! Though we're all sad to have to wait for Harry Potter, this open spot at the theater creates a cool opportunity. The good people at Summit were thrilled to let me know that now Twilight fans are going to get their movie three weeks earlier than scheduled. That's right—Twilight will be released in theaters November 21st! Let the merry-making commence!
